If you are considering ordering a footstool but can’t make up your mind about the material that you would like us to use for it, that’s no surprise. We have a huge range of different materials and leathers, and you are not limited to those. This is because we also provide links to over three dozen suppliers of designer fabrics, and each of those has a huge number of possibilities. So, really, you are looking at thousands upon thousands of options. No wonder it can be difficult to choose!
In fact, many of our customers settle for a leather footstool because of the advantages if you keep pets and/or have children. Leather can put up with an awful lot of punishment without showing any marks or scratches. Lots of cats like to scratch things – trees, fence posts, and so on – in order to mark things (they have scent glands in their paws) and also to wear away any dead part of their claws, and they may be quite happy to have a go at your gorgeous new footstool as well. A leather footstool can handle that where fabric wouldn’t.
Why Not Choose An Ottoman ?
If you are going to buy a footstool, why not choose an ottoman. As we have often said, any footstool takes up a certain amount of space, so rather than waste that space you can have a hinged lid on top. Then you still have your footstool, but you also have a small storage cabinet right where you need it in the living room. A black ottoman can be used as a footstool. It can be used as a coffee table if you pop a large serving tray on top of it. You can also use it to display a vase of flowers.
Put an onyx chess board on top of the black ottoman and now you have a chess table. Back to the tray, and you can use it for playing card games on or for standing your laptop on while you browse the net or chat to your friends on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and more. You can use it as an end table when you are sitting on the sofa and pull it round to put your feet up. All of our footstools, ottoman or not, are also strong enough to take two or even three guests when you need extra seating.
And all the while, it is hiding away books, magazines, kids’ toys, the remote, and keeping your living room tidy.
